We handle electronic evidence for a living. Handling your data carelessly while you read about that would be absurd. This policy is short because the honest answer to most questions is: we do not collect it.
Who we are. This website is operated by D3Forensics Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, BR No. 53603590 ("D3Forensics", "we"). For anything in this policy, contact info@d3forensics.com.
No cookies. This website sets no cookies of any kind. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
No analytics or trackers. No analytics scripts, advertising pixels, session recording or fingerprinting. The site makes no third-party requests at all.
No stored enquiries. The case review form relays your message once to our enquiry inbox and stores nothing on the website or its hosting infrastructure. If form delivery is unavailable, the form instead opens a draft in your own email client, and nothing touches our systems until you choose to send it.
Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses transiently to deliver pages and mitigate attacks, as any host must. We do not access or retain server logs containing visitor IPs.
When you email, call or message us, we hold what you send in order to respond, on segregated and encrypted systems, under the confidentiality discipline we apply to casework. Personal data is handled in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). Enquiries that do not become instructions are deleted in the ordinary course. We never use enquiry details for marketing, and there is no mailing list.
WhatsApp and Signal conversations are subject to those platforms' own terms and encryption. We recommend Signal for the most sensitive first contact.
Under the PDPO you may request access to, or correction of, personal data we hold about you. Given the above, the usual answer is that we hold nothing beyond the correspondence you sent us. Write to info@d3forensics.com.
